Our zip code is 92270. It says so right on our letterhead and trust us, we’re very proud to be a part of the Rancho Mirage community.
Recently, the good folks at City Hall got together and came up with a new marketing slogan, designed to showcase Rancho Mirage and its perfect location in the valley. The Slogan?
“Rancho Mirage, the Heart of the Palm Springs Valley”
If you look at a map of the valley, which is made up of eight unique cities, you’ll find Rancho Mirage directly in the center and easily the most accessible of any city in the desert. And in the center of Rancho Mirage is Rancho Las Palmas, across from ‘The River’ and just a few steps from, well, everything. So does that put us in the heart, of the heart, of the Palm Springs Valley?
The new Rancho Mirage slogan got us thinking about the unique cities here and all of their individual slogans. A scan of each city website and we found:
- La Quinta, “The Gem of the Desert”
- Palm Springs, “Like no Place Else”
- Palm Desert, “Plan to be Spontaneous”
- Indio, “The Place to be”
- Cathedral City, “The Spirit of the Desert”
- Desert Hot Springs, “California’s Spa City”
Everyone’s got a slogan, although we’re not sure what they tell you about the destination, but now you know.
So then we looked up a list of every city nickname around the country, and while these obviously aren’t all official, anyone wonder what they do in Eau Claire, Michigan, “The Cherry Pit Spitting Capital of the World?”
